Weekend Whereabouts

So Friday night I went to see the Muhlenberg student dance concert w/ two of my friends.  It was a great concert, as they usually are, and I left a little upset about my own school but really I'm happy where I am and who I'm with and I'm not sure I would change even for a "better" education.  That might seem like a waste of money to go someplace where you feel you aren't getting educated enough but its just a different kind of education.  I love the professors and I've learned about about myself as a student, dancer, and choreographer.  I like the small school setting and the small dance department.  It has its advantages and disadvantages but so does every school.  No college is perfect.

Saturday, Kris (my boyfriend) and I were at a wedding and had a great night, besides a slight headache from a few glasses of wine.  I love weddings.  I'm excited and anxious to plan my own one day.  My wedding day will be a day for some sadness though because my father is no longer alive to walk me down the aisle and to dance with but I still dream of that day.  There is a great scene is a show I just got finished working on called Eurydice where the father is in the underworld writing letters to his daughter about her wedding day and what he would say if he were asked to give a speech on that day.  The scene ended with him pretending to walk his daughter down the aisle.  It was a sad moment but I hoped that my father was in heaven doing the same, knowing that someday we will meet again.

Today we had yet another rehearsal for my student dance pieces.  I took some video clips that I can't wait to start editing for the dvd.  Just a  few more weeks and the semester will end...I feel done already.
